City advises of water supply disruption to a part of Bloubergstrand

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department needs to urgently replace a critical non-return valve at its Perlemoen Booster Pump Station in Bloubergstrand tomorrow, Tuesday 1 December 2020. This will result in the disruption of the water supply in and around the vicinity of Perlemoen, Gull, Windblom and Pikkewyn Roads from 12:00 until 16:30 to enable the work to be done safely. Business and residents are kindly requested to store water upfront in clean sealed containers for domestic use during this period.

Business and residents are also requested to keep their taps closed during this period to avoid any water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.

The City regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its citizens
